Hancock Center for Creative Arts Therapies supports the healthy potential of individuals, families, and groups through psychotherapy and mental health programs involving movement, art, music, and drama. Founded in 1983, the non-profit organization works closely with local organizations and professionals, receiving referrals from social service agencies, hospitals, community programs, educational facilities, and mental health providers. The Hancock Center clinical team focuses in two areas:

  • Mental Health
    Direct client treatment through individual, couple, and group psychotherapy sessions.
  • Mental Health
    Community outreach, education, and research-oriented programs

Opportunity: Creative Arts Therapist
Hancock Center for Creative Arts Therapies has two positions open for Creative Arts Therapists to contribute to our mission clinically and artistically. The therapist will divide time between direct clinical mental health services and Arts in Health program development. Salary range $49,000 - $66,500 based on experience and qualifications. Starting at 25 hours per week, positions have full benefits including generous paid leave, health, and retirement plans. Hancock Center provides robust administrative support, program collaboration, and clinical consultation.

Summary of Qualifications & Competencies

  • Master’s degree in a Creative Arts Therapy field, or association-approved alternative route training.
  • Credentialed/Licensed to practice psychotherapy in the State of Wisconsin preferred.
  • Self-motivated with excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to developing and maintaining relationships with community partners.
  • Able to pass a caregiver background check.
