Living Branches Senior Communities and Drexel University are seeking a compassionate and creative Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT) or Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT) to provide Dance/Movement Therapy services to residents across our Memory Care, Health Care, and Personal Care communities at The Living Branches campuses of Dock Woods and Souderton Mennonite Homes in Montgomery County. The Dance/Movement Therapist will work Mondays and Fridays from 9:30 AM–2:30 PM, from October through June, following the Drexel academic calendar. Summer/early fall hours can be discussed further.

The Dance/Movement Therapist will lead two one-hour therapeutic groups each day. Groups will be designed to support residents' emotional, cognitive, physical, and social well-being while meeting the unique needs and abilities of participants. This role will also serve as a clinical supervisor and mentor for Dance/Movement Therapy practicum and internship students from Drexel University, providing guidance, support, and supervision throughout their fieldwork experience.

Key Responsibilities:

● Plan and Facilitate Dance/Movement Therapy groups for residents in Memory Care, Health Care, and Personal Care.

● Lead two one-hour groups each Monday and Friday.

● Develop engaging, person-centered interventions that promote connection, expression, mobility, emotional well-being, and social engagement.

● Adapt programming to meet varying cognitive, physical, and emotional abilities.

● Complete documentation following each group, including observations of resident participation, engagement, and therapeutic response.

● Provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical guidance to Drexel University Dance Movement Therapy practicum students.

● Collaborate with Living Branches staff and interdisciplinary teams as appropriate. Schedule & Compensation:

● Schedule: Mondays and Fridays, 9:30 AM–2:30 PM October-June

● Hours: 10 hours per week

● Compensation: $40 per hour

Qualifications:

● Credentialed as an R-DMT or BC-DMT.

● Experience working with older adults, individuals with dementia, or within healthcare and senior living settings preferred yet not required. 

● Strong interpersonal, communication, documentation, and supervisory skills.

● A compassionate, flexible, and creative approach to therapeutic care.
